How this is calculated

Each zodiac sign is scored on five everyday living-together factors, on a 1–5 scale: how tidy the sign tends to be, how early or late its natural schedule runs, how freely or carefully it tends to spend, how much company and guest energy it wants around, and whether it tends to raise a disagreement immediately or let it go quiet instead.

When you pick two signs, the calculator compares each of the five scores. A small gap means that factor is unlikely to cause friction. A medium gap means it is worth a quick conversation before it becomes a habit. A large gap is flagged as a real friction zone, with a specific suggestion for how to handle it — not a vague warning.

Why there is no single compatibility score

Two people can be an easy match on money and guests while clashing hard on sleep schedules, or the other way around. Collapsing that into one number hides the part that actually matters when you move in together: which specific thing to talk about first.

Why very similar people sometimes still clash

Two neat freaks living together sounds like an easy match, and usually it is. But two people who both care a lot about a tidy home can still disagree sharply on what “clean enough” actually looks like, or whose standard wins in the shared spaces. Similarity lowers the odds of a fight, it does not remove them.

Why guests cause more roommate arguments than chores

A messy kitchen is annoying, but it is usually solvable with a chore chart. A surprise guest staying five nights without a heads-up touches something more personal: how much say you each get over your own home. That is why the guests and privacy axis tends to produce sharper disagreements than cleaning does, even when the “friction score” on paper looks similar.
