Football IQ Test by Position

You already know which position you play. This test doesn’t try to reassign you. It checks how well you think inside the role you already have.

Choose your position on the pitch. Six match situations load after that — built only for that role. A centre-back gets a 2v1 recovery, a second-ball duel, a moment to step out of the line. A striker gets a run to time, a shot-or-pass call, a pressing trigger with no obvious answer. Nothing generic, nothing shared across positions.

Every answer feeds a small set of traits specific to that role — the same traits a coach would actually watch for. You won’t see the scoring while you play. At the end it becomes visible.

The result isn’t just a number. You get a Position IQ Score on an 80-160 scale, a Decision Style built from your strongest trait, and a Decision Path — a line that traces how your choices moved across the six moments, from kickoff to full-time. The dashed zone on that path marks the reference for your position and the level you selected, so a Sunday League score and a Semi-Pro score are never read the same way.

Alongside the score, you get your strongest trait, your biggest growth area, and a tactical blind spot — one specific pattern in how you played, not a vague “improve your awareness” line. A short coach-style note ties the two together.

Not sure which position actually fits your football brain in the first place? Take the general Football IQ Test — it works the other way round, and puts you into a position instead of testing you inside one.
