Games played and points

The strip of eight matchdays sets how many games your club has played; tap a matchday to fill the strip up to it, or tap the last filled one to step back. Points move one at a time, and the calculator skips totals that eight results cannot produce, such as 5 points from 2 games. The line under the points shows the lowest and highest total still open: with 3 points after 2 games, that is 3 to 21. At the bottom, the copy button puts a link to your exact numbers on the clipboard, so the page opens on the same games and points for someone else.

The smallest total for each line

Two lines answer the short version of the question. Each one gives the smallest final total that cleared that line in both finished league phases and how many wins it takes from where you are, counting every other remaining game as a loss. From 3 points after 2 games, the top 8 needs 16 points, 13 more, so at least 5 wins if nothing else is gained; the top 24 needs 12, 9 more, so at least 3 wins. Tap either line to dim every square that falls short.

The map of every remaining path

Each square is one way the rest of the league phase can go: rows count wins, columns count draws, and the remaining games are losses. The number in the square is the final total. With six games left there are 28 squares, and several of them land on the same total by different routes; tapping one outlines the others that reach it.

Every square is cut corner to corner. The top-left half shows where that total finished in 2024/25 and the bottom-right half shows 2025/26, each coloured top 8, play-off places or out. When both halves match, the seasons agree. A white dot marks a total that sat exactly on a line, where goal difference split the teams level on points.

Why 10 points shows two colours

The scales beside the map show where every total from 0 to 24 finished in each season, with the 8th and 24th places marked and a white bar for the range your club can still reach. The top-8 line was the same both times: 16 points was enough and 15 was not. The top-24 line moved. In 2024/25 four teams finished on 11 points and goal difference sent one of them, Dinamo Zagreb, out. In 2025/26 the line sat at 9: five teams finished there and only two went through, while 10 points was safe. So 10 points is play-off grey for one season and out for the other.

What the square you tapped means

Below the map, the square you tapped is spelled out as wins, draws and losses, then season by season: which teams finished on that exact total and where they placed, or where the total would have ranked if nobody finished on it.

Teams that stood where you stand

The last block lists every team from both seasons that had the same points after the same number of games, sorted by where they finished. After 2 games on 3 points there were 22 of them: 7 made the top 8, 11 reached the play-off places and 4 went out. Club Brugge were one of them in 2024/25 and finished 24th on 11 points, on goal difference. Tap a team to see its points matchday by matchday, or filter the list to the teams that made the top 8, the play-off places or went out. When fewer than three teams match exactly, the list widens to one point either side and says so.

What it cannot tell you

Two league phases are all the history this format has, so the calculator gives counts and names, never percentages. It does not know your club’s remaining opponents, its goal difference or how the rest of this season’s table is moving; a total that worked twice can still fall short. Results come from the public-domain openfootball match files and were checked against the published final tables.
