What the season bill counts

Ticket cost works two ways. Choose individual tickets and enter how many home matches you attend plus your average ticket price, or choose a season ticket and enter its price and any membership fee. Away days, subscriptions, merch, matchday food, and other extras are all optional and add on top. Subscriptions ask for the monthly price, how many months you pay, the share you actually use for football, and how many people split the account, so a service used partly for other things is not counted in full.

The lifetime view

Years already supporting and years you plan to keep going are tracked separately. For past years, you can enter your own average season spend; leave it blank and the calculator uses this season’s total, clearly marked as an estimate rather than a measured figure. For future years, pick how prices move: flat, your own inflation guess, or a football-specific rate. The football rate is a slider bound to a real range, applied as a simplified rate across your whole total rather than recalculated ticket by ticket.

Enter a season ticket price, its membership fee, and the average price you would pay for individual tickets, and the calculator shows how many matches you would need to attend before the season ticket works out cheaper.

Benchmarks

The comparison strip places your season total next to a small set of published figures: Fanflation’s 2026 US and MLS averages, and a BBC Price of Football estimate for the cheapest season tier in Europe. Each is a survey benchmark from its own country and currency, not a universal standard, and none of them feed into your own calculation.
